The Cosmetology license will allow you to work in many aspects of the beauty field including hair care, skin care and nails.
Our Cosmetology Program Offers:
- Haircutting - Women and men’s cuts using scissors, clippers and razors
- Hairstyling - Up-do’s, thermal curling and straightening, wet hairstyling, waving
- Color - Highlights, low lights, color formulation techniques and color correction
- Texturizing - Permanent waving and chemical straightening
- Ethnic hairstyling - Chemical and thermal
- Skin - Manual and electric facials and hair removal
- Make-up - Application and color techniques
- Nail - Manicures, acrylic nails and repairs, and pedicures
- Salon management - Salon service, retailing, customer service, advertising and promoting yourself
- State board training - Extensive mock board training in the Senior room before graduation
The course length is divided into both lecture instruction in the science of cosmetology and applied effort for practical hands on operations. You will also receive training from Redkin Educators and other industry professionals. After you reach 400 hours, you will be evaluated by an instructor and start working with clients on the clinic floor. We feel our style of teaching and demonstrating will prepare you to pass your State Board license test and start you on your way to a satisfying career.
Curriculum for Cosmetology Course
Esthetician
Royale College of Beauty offers a skin care program that will prepare you for work in several different fields. Our classes are taught by a licensed Esthetician who has owned her own business and is able to pass her knowledge and techniques on to our students. We use Dermalogica and Rita McQueen skin care products. There will be trips to the Dermalogica Skin Care Institute for training and in house demonstrations form Rita Mc Queen and other professionals. We also have a licensed make-up artist who comes in once a week for make-up classes.
Our Esthetician Program features:
- Skin Analysis - Assessing skin types using several methods including face mapping.
- Facials - Manual, chemical and electric methods
- Light Therapy - The procedures and reasons for using derma lights to treat various skin conditions
- Hair Removal - Use of different techniques and products to remove unwanted hair on the face and body and to shape eye brows.
- Exfoliation - Chemical and dermabrasion. Microdermabrasion is demonstrated.
- Body - Back facials and treatments to improve skin health
- Make-up - Application techniques and color blending for different looks, styles and hiding imperfections
- Salon management - Salon and spa service, retailing, customer service, advertising
- State Board training - Mock board practical and written exams are practiced.

We feel this combination provides an excellent learning situation that will prepare our students to pass their State Board test and for work in a salon or spa.
